It is a fact of life that sometimes firms will be instructed to
undertake enforcement work by the regulators.
This will undoubtedly lead to challenges for the firms; some of
which have no experience of this type of exposure. Over the past

investigative work to satisfy the regulator.
The Financial Services Authority’s integrated approach on the use of
skilled persons to provide special reports on firms operates well, but
